How is your pricing structured?+
Our pricing is based on your actual environment — number of users, workstations, and services needed. We don't believe in forcing you into a generic tier with services you don't need. We do a free IT assessment first, then provide a written quote within 2 business days. Most small businesses pay between $300–$1,000/month depending on scope.
Do you require long-term contracts?+
No. We offer month-to-month agreements. We believe if we're doing our job well, you won't want to leave — so we earn your business every month. Note: some third-party licensing (like Microsoft 365) may have annual terms, which we'll always disclose upfront.

How fast do you respond to IT issues?+
Critical issues (server down, total outage) get a response within 1 hour. High priority within 4 hours. Standard requests within 1 business day. Managed clients receive 24/7 emergency coverage — you can reach a real person after hours when it really matters.
Are you actually based in the Upper Peninsula?+
Yes. GlobalTSS is headquartered in Marquette, MI. We provide on-site support across the entire UP — from Ironwood to the Straits. We're Yoopers serving Yoopers, not a national MSP with a distant support center.

Can you replace our current IT company or break-fix tech?+
Yes, and we do it regularly. We handle the transition completely — documenting your environment, coordinating with your current provider, and ensuring zero downtime during the handover. Most clients see improvements within the first 30 days.
What does Managed IT actually include?+
At minimum: 24/7 monitoring of all your devices, patch management, antivirus/EDR, unlimited helpdesk during business hours, and a dedicated account manager. Most clients also add Microsoft 365 management, email security, cloud backup, and network infrastructure management. We scope it to your environment.

Do you support Mac computers, not just Windows?+
Yes. We support Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android in mixed environments. If your team uses a mix of devices, we handle all of it under one agreement — no separate Mac support contracts.
What is Guardz and why do you use it?+
Guardz is our cybersecurity platform — it combines AI-driven threat detection, dark web monitoring, phishing simulations, and security awareness training in one unified platform. We chose it because it provides small and mid-size businesses with enterprise-grade protection at a practical price point.
What is Yeastar and why did you switch from 3CX?+
Yeastar is our cloud PBX platform for business phone systems. It offers enterprise calling features, mobile apps, auto-attendant, call recording, and voicemail-to-email. We selected Yeastar for its reliability, ease of management, and competitive licensing model for UP businesses.

What compliance frameworks do you support?+
We support HIPAA (healthcare), CMMC/DFARS (defense contractors), PCI-DSS (payment card), NIST CSF (general best practice), SOC 2, and CIS Controls. We build documentation, implement controls, and help you achieve audit readiness. Ask us which framework applies to your industry.

What happens if we have a ransomware attack?+
Managed clients with our backup and disaster recovery services can typically recover within hours. We maintain tested, verified offsite backups so ransomware is an inconvenience rather than a catastrophe. We also help you through the incident response process and work with your cyber insurance carrier.
Do you work with nonprofits and churches?+
Yes, and we actively seek them out. Nonprofits qualify for significant discounts on Microsoft 365 licensing through Microsoft's nonprofit program. We have experience with religious organizations, synods, and community nonprofits across the UP — including clients we've served since 2008.
